The national holiday for the birthday of Astana (July 6th) was last weekend. For this holiday we spent a day in Turar Ryskulov park. We were able to see how many of the local children spend their holiday weekend. A truly beautiful place where you can enter for free and hang out under the heavily shaded park full of old trees. Here you can get shashlyk (kebabs), soda, popcorn or cotton candy. You can take the Ferris Wheel to view the city, drive a bumper car, or you can lazily sit on the many benches scattered throughout the park.
